Product Overview

A gear is a rotating machine part having radially projecting cut teeth on a circular disk which mesh with another toothed part to transmit torque. Geared devices can be used to change the speed, torque, and direction of a power source. This Spur Gear is made up of Polyoxymethylene material which is abbreviated as POM. The material possesses a linear structure with a highly crystalline quality that provides a variety of characteristics: outstanding wear, long-term fatigue, toughness and creep resistance as well as excellent resistance to moisture, solvents and strong alkalis. The 11 mm wide gear has 4 mm face width with 88 teeth. The hub of the gear has a bore of 6.35 mm diameter through which it can be attached to the shaft. The teeth of this gear can mesh with all gears having the same shape. This gear assembly is designed with four 4.2 mm diameter holes on the wheel surface which are spaced at 27 degrees from the centre. The gear is compatible for use in the Longitudinal Motor Drive assemblies of GE's Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) systems. The item will be shipped in suitable packaging to give adequate protection during transit.
