Product Overview
This inverted retaining ring is a type of fastener that holds the components or assemblies onto a shaft or in a housing/bore when installed. These retaining rings are installed into machined grooves in housings/bores (internal) or on shafts (external). These rings are manufactured with inverted lug holes to fit in the bottom of the groove. Inverting the lugs allows greater clearance on a shaft or in a housing and forms a higher uniform shoulder which is good for retaining bearings and other components with large corner radii or chamfers. The use of non-ferromagnetic Beryllium Copper Material enhances the corrosion resistance properties and thus makes it suitable for use in assemblies of MRI systems. This inverted ring is used in the lower base assembly of Lite 2, GEM 3T, PET patient tables and is compatible with GE's Brivo 355, DIscovery 750 Surgical 3T, 750W GEM, Optima 360 1.5T, Signa Creator 1.5T etc systems.
