Product Overview

The AMSORB PLUS® Prefilled G-Can® Absorber Canister absorbs carbon dioxide CO₂ from cellular respiration during anesthesia. During anesthesia the breathing air is passed through the unit the carbon dioxide present in the air is absorbed and pure air gets delivered to the patient. The absorber has special characteristics including a color indicator, when the carbon dioxide gets absorbed it turns into a violet color. After the machines gets turned off the violet color is changed to white due to the chemical reaction happens on the absorber. The AMSORB PLUS® color indicator reacts strongly and quickly to the dehydrating effects of CO₂ absorption or when in contact with an anhydrous gas such as oxygen. The gas flow desiccates all absorbents. Retrograde flow occurs when fresh gas flow is left running during nonuse of an anesthetic machine. Gas may pass over the top of the absorbent canister and desiccate the absorbent. Having air inlet and outlet vents in the can for direct connection. The prefilled G-CAN® absorber is specially designed for Aisys, Avance and Aespire anesthesia workstations.
