Product Overview
The Condensate Reservoir Seal is provided in the condensate reservoir manifold in the Anesthetic Gas Scavenging System (AGSS) as a part of Breathing Circuit Gas (BCG). The AGSS removes vented anesthetic gases from anesthesia machine in areas like operating rooms to eliminate the possible long term health hazards for the exposed medical staff. The exhaled gases flow from the patient through a unidirectional valve (expiratory check valve) and into the bellows. Residual drive gas flows out of the bellows to the scavenging system through a condenser reservoir. The fluids get condensed in the condenser reservoir and then drained. The seal is placed on the reservoir in the receiver end of AGSS. The seal is flexible and has good tensile strength. It provides a firm locking to the thumbscrews on the reservoir. It is easily removable and can be cleaned. It provides a seal so that the condensate is leak proof and can only be drained when reservoir is opened. It provides a smooth finishing, has a moderate hardness and is resistant to corrosive anesthetic condensed fluids.
